frenchback vs. bagstyle pillow cases July 15 2014

Continuing in the theme of "bedding education" posts, today we'll explain our two different types of pillow cases. The frenchback pillow case style (top pillow in the photo below) has a tucked, envelope closure. This style offers a neat and tidy look for the bed. Programs such as Skyler, Parallel, Pearl and Claire come in frenchback style cases. Our shams also use a frenchback closure, but are different from the cases because they are bordered on the sides with a small decorative flange. Bagstyle cases have an opening that is more loose, with fabric overhanging from the pillow like in the bottom pillow below. This is a more traditional style and has a nice draped look. Thin (shown below), Pleat, Emile and Simone come in this bagstyle construction. We like both styles and find them equally at home in our designs. If you're ever unsure of which style comes in a particular fabric, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to let you know.
